The EAD10's sensor unit consists of an XY type stereo condenser microphone and a trigger unit that have been
independently adjusted by Yamaha engineers, and is naturally balanced by being attached to the top of the hoop on
the bass drum striking surface side (position in the attached photo). You can monitor the sound of the entire drum set
with high sound quality by localization.
■ Monitor / record high-quality acoustic drum sounds
The drum sound picked up through the EAD10's sensor unit can be clearly monitored through headphones, and can
also be recorded and played back on the built-in memory or USB memory of the main unit. It also has an AUX
terminal, and by connecting a portable music player, etc., it is possible to play while simultaneously monitoring the
playback sound of the player and the miked high-quality sound.
■ Various effect sounds that expand the possibilities of drummers
The EAD10 can process the drum sound by applying the desired effect to the "audio signal" captured by the
microphone of the sensor unit. In addition, it is possible to capture the "trigger signal" from the trigger of the sensor unit and add the trigger tone to the hitting sound of the bass drum to play. The EAD10 main unit is equipped with
more than 30 types of effects such as reverb and delay, and more than 750 types of trigger tones. In addition to
50 types of preset scenes that combine each, you can customize the preset scenes and save 200 types of your own
scenes. By adding a variety of tones to your acoustic drums, you can expand the expressiveness of your drum
performance. It also has excellent expandability to incorporate an optional drum trigger and electronic drum DTX pad.
■ High extensibility by linking with the free iOS application "Rec'n'Share"
iOS application "Rec'n'Share" is available. Select your favorite song from the library and the app will detect the
tempo and add a click. Equipped with tempo change and repeat playback functions, it strongly supports drum
practice.
Also, if you shoot a video using the app on your iOS device, you can easily create a high-quality performance
video picked up by the EAD10, and you can mix, edit, and upload in the app.
