    This is a vintage front Spidel skewer made by Maillard in the late 1970s or early 1980s. Spidel was a brand made by a consortium of French component makers (Maillard, Speedlight, Mafac, and Simplex) with the idea of creating a top-line French group to compete with Shimano, Campagnolo, and others. This skewer is in good used cosndition with plenty of miles (or should I say kilometers) left on it. IT weighs 86 grams.
