Oberheim Drummer OS 3.8.0 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT
This upgrade version 3.8.0 is the latest firmware update issued by Oberheim for the Perf/X series Drummer.
Included will be 1 new EPROM chip to complete the upgrade.
All EPROM upgrade chips supplied here are brand new, recently manufactured and sourced directly from ATMEL to ensure data integrity well past our natural lifetime.
Keep in mind that the Drummer itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chip will be supplied.
Unlike some others, No used or refurbished as “new” components will be supplied here. Protect your investment!
This upgrade EPROM chip can be used to convert any of the existing Oberheim Perf/X line units; Cyclone, Navigator, Strummer and Systemizer to a Drummer.
This is all possible as the entire Perf/X line uses the same exact internal mainboard. The only differentiating factor being the OS EPROM chip (in most cases) as well as the top overlay.
Replacement overlays are easy to reproduce, simply search online for an overlay of your choosing and print it out on your printer. Be sure to ask an adult for help when using a pair of scissors to cut out the printed overlay.

Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board.
All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials.
