Lot, 32 Vintage (1991 to 1993) “Classic Cars Collection” Card Packs, by Edito-Service. Approximately 640 cards, in 32 unopened (new-old stock) packs. All packs contain approximately 20 cards about classic cars made by various manufacturers (I am not certain exactly how many cards, as all the packs are new and unopened)
Each card enables the reader to discover and learn about fascinating automobiles. The front side of card includes: a photo of the classic car, the automaker's name, classification, the car's country of origin and the automnaker's insignia. The back side of the card includes: A summary on the origin and achievement of each car, desires and dreams of the builders, fascinating facts about the cars that collectors should know, and technical characteristics.
This is new-old stock, as each of the 32 card packs is still in its original shrink wrapping. The box that contains the packs does show some use/damage, in the form of scuffs, scratches, and small tears. Each card is approximately 5.75 *5.75 inches. When stacked, the cards are approximately 4.25 inches tall. This lot includes the 32 unopened packs, an introductory booklet, new (still folded) poster of a Lamborghini (approximately 19*26 inches), some assorted auto company stickers, and a 33rd unopened pack of multi-category dividers.
Based on my research, car aficionados would subscribe for these, and receive a pack every month or so. These packs are dated 1991 to 1993. Since these packs have never opened, I don’t know for certain how many cards are in each pack. I would estimate that none of these packs have less than 20 cards, and a few seem to have more, which is why I estimate at least 640 cards, in total.
