Alesis DM Pro OS v2.00 EPROM Firmware Upgrade SET
This upgrade version 2.00 is the latest update released by Alesis for the DM Pro drum unit.
Included will be 2 new EPROM chips, which will be labeled accordingly to indicate which IC socket the EPROM is to be installed to.
Please note that the DM Pro itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chips will be supplied here.
This update is said to resolve bugs with MIDI communication path dropouts and code cleanups to improve system stability.
Enhancements to triggering of Hart Pads and trigger-gain functions to improve compatibility with Roland style MIDI drum pads.
Some of my clients have also informed me that this update helped them have better compatibility and improved response time with Qcards as well as off-brand generic 8mb PCMCIA flash cards.
I’ll try to update with a list of cards to look out for when I get a chance to.
Be sure to take note of the marked orientation notch on the side of the EPROM to ensure correct installation. EPROMS inserted backwards will be destroyed. Incorrect insertion of ICs is also likely to cause damage to the board.
All EPROM upgrades have been prepared in an ESD-safe production environment and will be packaged in equally ESD-safe materials.
