    Description

    Vintage Aerators Makers Ltd.,London Seltzer Bottle 1910 Wonderful vintage heavy glass seltzer bottle, with woven wire mesh covering, measuring approx. 13.5" tall and in very good and complete condition. The wire mesh cover is securely attached and is without rust and the bottle has no chips/cracks or repairs. This type of bottle was a bar staple and was designed to produce carbonated water for mixed drinks. The reinforced bottle was filled three-quarters with water and a capsule containing compressed carbon dioxide was inserted into the angled metal connector. Pressing the lever released carbon dioxide into the water through the nozzle head. The cap of the bottle has instructions around it and the very top is stamped "AERATORS LTD MAKERS LONDON", inside tube is intact. This is a substantial piece and would make a great bar accessory!! This was the one before the popular Sparkletts version from the1930's onwards.
